The official announcement of the birth of the royal baby was posted on a gold-coloured easel outside Buckingham Palace. A footman and the Queen’s press secretary carried the framed notice over to the easel on the gravel outside Buckingham Palace. The notice gives details of the time of birth and the weight of the baby boy.

He was born at 4.24pm weighing 8lbs 6oz. It has been signed by the Queen’s former gynaecologist Marcus Setchell, who led the medical team that delivered Kate’s baby. In a statement Prince William says he and his wife are overjoyed.  I can only imagine Dianas spirit being ever so present with her son right now.
