Good Money Spent

Right On Target

Target is helping kids across the nation get a head start on reading and I am inspired.  I experienced it yet again today as I have in the past at our local library storytime class.

Early childhood reading grants supported from Target are bringing such joy to families.  Reading makes a world of difference in learning. Target awards grants to schools, libraries and non-profit organizations that support programs like after-school reading events and weekend book clubs.

Each week, I enjoy a half hour of reading, dancing and parallel play with my lil ones.  An instructor leads the storytime and my two are always front and center -they have the teachers routine memorized.

Every other week we have received a take home book that has been donated via these grants.  We keep them in the car and the littlest one just beams with delight when she has them in her lil hands.
