Dining with the Queen of Hearts
On May 3, 2012 by LoriLive Your Vibrant Life!
I had the privilege to attend the Queen of Hearts Foundations‘ 2nd Annual Live, Love Laugh and Learn Luncheon on Wednesday, May 2nd at The Pacific Club in Newport Beach. What a lovely event.
Several of us girlfriends took time to enjoy friendship, a bit of shopping and then stay for a lunch presentation including UCI Gyn/OCs as well as local health expert, Sue Parks from WalkStyles, Inc….all to benefit a great cause.
Established in 2000, The Queen of Hearts Foundation is a non-profit organization dedicated to raising funds for the research and early detection of ovarian cancer and in promoting public awareness and education about the signs and symptoms of this disease. My girlfriends Caren and Cristen have been crusaders for the Queen of Hearts for many years now in honor of their mother Marilyn.
I admire their commitment to the organization and the efforts they make to not only raise awareness but to raise money to ovarian cancer research and education awareness. They want to save women’s lives and keep families from suffering the loss of their loved ones. Early detection is the key to fighting this disease.
Thank you Queen of Hearts Foundation leaders and supporters…together we can make positive strides and possibly history – and carry on many women’s passion for life.

Thank you for sharing this story with your blog friends! We are grateful for supporters like Caren and Cristen – – and we WILL find an early detection screening for ovarian cancer in the near future.
