Children #17 Joy Jars NEGU
On January 17, 2012 by LoriJOY JARS
In August of 2011, I was searching for some ideas for gift bags for my daughters 3rd birthday party. My mother-in-law told me about a little girl that was raising awareness and funds through an idea called Joy Jars. A Joy Jar is a simple jar stuffed with joy (gifts) for children throughout the world fighting cancer.
Boy- was she right on the money with this idea! How special would this be to incorporate into ANY celebration- whether it is a 3 year old or a 40 year old. How about the idea of purchasing Joy Jars instead of spending money on a party? Their are a variety of products to support in this effort. You can purchase the Booster Kits. The kits include a JoyJar™ with branded t-shirt, wristband and notecards. Perfect!
Send out invite to each of your guests announcing an upcoming celebration for a birthday – the invite will arrive first and then the Joy Jar will arrive 2-3 weeks later (delivered by you). The JoyFactory shipping team takes a few weeks so this will be a nice surprise post invite. Your guest will be invited to enjoy the goodies inside the jar and to pack it up with items for a child suffering from cancer. JoyJars provides ideas, so those lists can be included for your guests. Grab your family and pack up the car for a JoyRide to pick up all the JoyJars…spreading Joy on the go!
I know your Birthday Big Boy or Big Girl would be humbled and honored to continue Jessie’s legacy of spreading hope, joy and love to kids fighting cancer. It was Jessies dream to encourage every kid fighting to Never Ever Give Up! She will always be the inspiration behind NEGU. It was her motto and message for the 10 months she fought cancer.
Every dollar donated will help encourage kids and their families in their fight. If you want to join in the celebration of life…please enjoy a night of celebration with other NEGU supporters this Saturday, January 21st at The St.Regis in Dana Point, California to support The NEGU Foundation™ at the NEGU Gala. This special evening of dining, drinks, dancing, and a special concert with John Tesh, is all about … raising awareness and support so The NEGU Foundation™ can carry on Jessie’s dream and continue to encourage and care for courageous kids fighting cancer. There are over 50,000 in active treatment. They need encouragement, hope, joy and love!

Super blog!!!!! Our thoughts and prayers are with all those families as they go through the day to day routine fighting cancer. Just putting a little Joy in their lives.
This is great! I am a member of Team NEGU and found you by looking up Joy Jars to see what sites would come up.
Another thing to make your followers aware of: If Jessie’s facebook site recieves 200,000 “likes” by what would have been her 13th birthday, a family is going to donate $25,000 to the Jessica Joy Rees Foundation!
The deadline is April 8th. As of today there are a little over 135,000. We need your help!!! Jessie was a wonderful example of a “go give” attitude. Even in the midst of her toughest days, she thought of others.
NEGU,
Darlene
