Holidays #1 – Halloween Gingerbread Houses
On October 14, 2011 by LoriHaunted Halloween Gingerbread House
Try this fiendishly fun way to celebrate Halloween.
Set the stage for your monster bash with a Haunted Halloween House centerpiece. We purchase the pre-made gingerbread house annually at our local craft store (Michaels). Grab your Sundays paper 40% coupon and you can get everything you need to build a house for roughly $5.
Other options are Costco and Ikea. Costco’s version is $10- its a bit bigger. Ikea has mini houses for $2-3- but its just the house. Your children can all help decorate the house or have some friends over for a Ghoulish house decorating playdate.
Tip: If you don’t want to use the icing to hold house together, use a glue gun- you can still have it intact to enjoy next year. You can also use store bought cake frosting to hold house together.
Happy Haunting Decorating!
